SERVICE AND HANDLING FEE FOR PACKAGES OVER 15 POUNDS
For items shipped through our services weighing 15 pounds or more, will be subjected to a service and handling fee, amounting to 20% of your total. Please be aware that items exceeding 15 pounds may be bulkier and heavier, demanding increased manpower for optimal handling.
This fee ensures the meticulous care and attention required for larger packages during the shipping process.
ENTRY
In the event a customer requests an entry for a shipment through our services, a fee of $8,500 JMD will be incurred.
CLEARANCE
If you ship a package through our services and decide to clear the item yourself when it arrives in Jamaica, please note that you will still need to pay the freight cost. After payment there will be a 10-business-day turnaround time to provide you with the necessary documents to clear your item independently.
INVOICE & PRE ALERTS UPLOAD
Ensuring a seamless clearance process with the Jamaican Customs Agency is of utmost importance. Failure to upload your invoices and create your pre-alerts to your profile when your items reach Jamaica for clearance by Jamaica Customs may lead to the detention of your items due to a lack of supporting documents. In such instances, a service charge of $2,000 JMD, in addition to your per-pound cost, will be applied. This fee encompasses revisiting Jamaica Customs to reprocess your package, ensuring a flawless delivery experience.
FALSE INVOICES
If during the verification process, it is revealed that any invoice or other documents submitted were falsified, the importer can be liable for a penalty of $500,000 Jamaican dollars or three times the value of the goods to which the offense relates, whichever is greater.
CUSTOMS REGULATION
Please Note: The Importer is accountable for staying informed about the latest Customs Regulations, including policies, procedures, import requirements, and applicable duties and taxes when bringing packages into Jamaica.
